Will growing coronavirus statistics affect new school year?

Azerbaijani Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev explained the impact of the growing number of coronavirus cases in Azerbaijan on the new academic year.

According to Report, the minister recalled that school classes did not stop in the 2021-2022 academic year.

"A similar model can be applied in the new academic year if the number of cases of coronavirus infection increases. Naturally, the Ministry of Education is taking steps in this matter under the decisions of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant state structures. Today's growth figures are lower compared to previous ones. I consider it unlikely that an increase in infections in the autumn season will lead to the closure of schools. Some classes may switch to distance learning depending on the figures," the minister stressed.'
