Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), met with President Ilham Aliyev to discuss the successful collaboration between the UNAOC and Azerbaijan. Moratinos emphasized that the signed Memorandum of Understanding had enabled contacts in various areas and praised Aliyev for his constant support of the UN Alliance of Civilizations' activities. Moratinos also expressed his satisfaction at participating in the Global Baku Forum of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, which he described as an institution with an excellent reputation at the international level.

During the meeting, Moratinos provided details about the UN Alliance of Civilizations' "One Humanity" initiative and expressed his willingness to cooperate with Azerbaijan in this regard.
