Türkiye earthquake death toll surpasses 41,000

The death toll from the magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes that hit Kahramanmaras and 10 other Turkish provinces has reached 41,156, according to the country's disaster management authority - AFAD. The quakes affected more than 13 million people, including those in neighboring countries like Syria and Lebanon. The international community responded with over 9,000 search and rescue personnel from countries such as South Korea. Türkiye has issued a level-4 alert and called for international aid.
