Stoltenberg: NATO to keep supplying arms to Ukraine
15 June 2022
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg asserted on Wednesday that the alliance would continue supplying heavy weapons and long-range systems to Ukraine, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Following a meeting of NATO defense ministers, Stoltenberg told reporters that he expected member states to agree on a new assistance package for Kiev during the summit that is taking place today and tomorrow. "We are extremely focused on stepping up support," he added.
Stoltenberg's remarks come shortly after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged western allies to deliver anti-missile weapons to his country and support its defenses against Russian attack.
