Podolyak: Peace talks with Russia could last for weeks

Ukraine believes that the peace talks with Russia, with which, among other things, a ceasefire and the withdrawal of the Russian troops are being discussed, may last for several more weeks, Report informs citing UNIAN that Mykhaylo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, said.

"The peace talks with Russia could continue for at least a few weeks, although there are signs that Moscow's position has become 'more appropriate'," Podolyak said. According to him, among the issues under consideration are a ceasefire, the withdrawal of Russian troops, and security guarantees.

Podolyak also noted that Russia is waging war according to the "Afghan scenario", that is, using the tactics of "surrounding large cities and bombarding them with cruise missiles and air bombs".

Earlier it was reported that the position of the Russian Federation in the negotiations with Ukraine has softened, but Ukraine is determined to fight to the end, protecting its interests.

President Volodymyr Zelensky assured that his priorities in the negotiations are absolutely clear - these are the end of the war, security guarantees, sovereignty, restoration of territorial integrity, real guarantees for Ukraine, and its real protection.
