The local health facilities have been provided with more than 600 pieces of equipment as part of a project by the European Union and the World Health Organization, APA reports.

On April 7- World Health Day, the WHO Office in Azerbaijan organized a handover ceremony of equipment within the framework of the “Support to COVID-19 Vaccination” project implemented by the World Health Organization (WHO) with the financial support of the European Union (EU).

The event, organized on the eve of the traditional European Immunization Week in late April, was attended by Deputy Minister of Health Nadir Zeynalov, Acting Chairman of the Board of the Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) Vugar Gurbanov, WHO Representative in Azerbaijan, and Head of Country Office Hande Harmanci, Europe Union Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko and local health partners.
