President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Ramiz Mehdiyev has retired from his post, Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics Misir Mardanov told APA.

Misir Mardanov said that Mehdiyev announced his resignation at today's meeting of the Presidium of ANAS and will submit resignation letter tomorrow.
