"In accordance with Action Plan of this year, 40,000 ha area will be cleaned from mines," Vugar Suleymanov, head of Board of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said at the Awareness Action on Danger of Explosive Ordnances, APA reports.

According to him, half of it is ANAMA's obligation.

V. Suleymanov has noted that the number of mine clearance staff will be increased twice:

"Logistics base has been strengthened, the new machinery and equipment have been purchased," he added.
