“From January 1 to August 25, 10900 fires occurred in the country,” said Deputy Minister of MES, Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev said at the press conference held on fires that occurred in the Republic of Azerbaijan in August 2022, APA reports.

According to him, this also includes liberated areas from the occupation: “As well as more than 211 hectares of forest field, 2318 hectares of harvested grain zone burnt. As a result of the fires, 29 people burned to death.”
