13-year-old Russian citizen fell victim to shelling of the city of Ganja by the Armenian military

In the Ganja hospital, 13-year-old Russian citizen Artur Vladimirovich Mayakov, who was seriously wounded on October 17 as a result of a missile strike by the Armenian armed forces on one of the residential areas of this city, died. Doctors fought for the boy's life for a week, but they did not manage to get him out of the coma. Arthur's aunt is also in serious condition. Grandmother suffered minor injuries.

-Artur was born in the Primorsky Krai, - says Irina Kalashnikova, deputy chairman of the Russian community in Ganja. - His mother brought him here in 2016, after the death of his father. Here the boy studied at school number 29 named after Ushinsky. What was the poor child's fault? It is bequeathed to us, Chrtistians: "Do not kill!" We curse those who chose terror against the civilian population by the method of fighting, no matter what goals they pursue. Many came to the church, expressed their condolences. The head of the Russian community of Azerbaijan, Zabelin, also called from the Russian embassy in Baku, offering help. But nothing is needed. With the help of the city authorities, the boy was buried.

Artur Mayakov became the 65th civilian who died as a result of the shelling of the cities and villages of Azerbaijan by the Armenian troops since September 27. About 300 people were injured. There are many children and schoolchildren among them. On October 24, in addition to Artur Mayakov, another 16-year-old resident of the village of Kabirli, Terter region, Orkhan Ismailzade, who went out to the garden to pick fruits, died from shrapnel wounds.
