The World Bank has updated its forecast on inflation in Azerbaijan for 2020-2022, “APA-Economics” reports citing the World Bank.

This year, the level of inflation in the country will rise to 3.3% from the last year’s 2.6%. It is expected that the inflation in Azerbaijan will slow down to 2.9% in 2021 and 2.8% in 2022.

According to the bank’s forecasts, the expected slight acceleration of inflation this year reflected the prolonged and retarded demand growth effect due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic.
