USAID official: “We want to transform Azerbaijan’s healthcare system into a model for the region”

"USAID has allocated more than $ 9 million to Azerbaijan to support urgent and long-term efforts to address the health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic," Jay Singh, USAID Mission Director to Azerbaijan, said, Report informs.
According to him, the organization will continue to strengthen and expand the Azerbaijani healthcare system to cover every citizen in the country: "We look forward to deeper cooperation with the Azerbaijani government to make the country's healthcare system a model for the region."
The Mission Director said that the anti-pandemic project in Azerbaijan is a clear example of a 30-year partnership between the United States and Azerbaijan.
