US Invests Over $18 Billion in Azerbaijan's Economy, Discusses Further Cooperation

During a meeting between First Deputy Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Aliyev and US Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets Arun Venkataraman, it was disclosed that the United States has invested more than $18 billion in Azerbaijan's economy since the country gained independence. The meeting centered on expanding cooperation between the two countries, including diversification of energy resources, technology transfer, and areas of cooperation in logistics, green energy, and more.

Aliyev emphasized the significance of organizing the US-Azerbaijan Green Energy Forum in Baku to increase the volume of investments and to apply US experience in the renewable energy sector. He also highlighted examples of Azerbaijan's successful cooperation with leading companies in this field.

Furthermore, the Azerbaijani deputy minister expressed that there is enormous potential for diversifying trade and economic relations, particularly in agriculture, logistics, know-how, and other fields.
