Russian military suffers significant casualties and equipment losses in Ukraine conflict, General Staff reports

The General Staff has disclosed that since the beginning of military operations in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces have sustained a significant number of casualties, with 153,120 servicemen being lost.

In addition to the human cost, the conflict has also taken a toll on Russia's military equipment. The General Staff revealed that the Russian Armed Forces lost 3,414 tanks, 6,692 armored vehicles, 2,426 artillery systems, 248 air defense systems, 302 aircraft, 289 helicopters, 2,071 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), and 232 units of special equipment during the conflict.

The conflict started on February 24, 2022, when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
