Pashinyan blames Baku, while Vardanyan asks the international community to open an airport in Khojaly

Azerbaijan does not open the Lachin corridor and grossly violates the obligation under the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020. This indicates Baku's inability to fulfill the agreements. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a meeting of the Armenian government on Thursday. Pashinyan did not express his attitude to Baku's statements that the movement along the corridor is free, but will be controlled, including by the Azerbaijani side.

Pashinyan called on the international community and Russia, whose troops are in Karabakh, to regain control of the Lachin road. He also spoke in favor of sending an international fact-finding mission to Karabakh and the Lachin corridor.

In turn, the "Minister of State" of Karabakh Ruben Vardanyan called on the international community to put pressure on Baku and achieve the opening of an airport in Khojaly for Armenians. He expressed dissatisfaction with the inaction of the Russian peacekeepers and confirmed that the Armenians reject Baku's proposal to travel along the Lachin road under the control of the Azerbaijani side.

The protest action on the Lachin road of civil activists of Azerbaijan continues for the 25th day. Over the past 24 hours, more than a dozen trucks of peacekeepers crossed the road in both directions. At the same time, 6 Red Cross cars drove from Armenia to Karabakh.
