International reaction to the terrorist attack against the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran

"We condemn the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran this morning," the  statement of the Turkish Foreign Ministry. Turkey itself was subjected to similar attacks, understands and shares the pain of the Azerbaijani people.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel: “We are shocked by another attack on the Azerbaijani embassy, during which a security officer was killed. Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Hayat tweeted: “Shocked and saddened by the treacherous attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran, in which the head of the security service was killed. United Kingdom Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fergus Old tweeted: “Shocked by the news of the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran and the killing of an embassy employee. I offer my condolences to the family of the victim, and wish recovery to the victims."

The head of the EU mission to Azerbaijan, Peter Michalko, also tweeted: “I am horrified by the news of the casualties and wounded in the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran. Attacks on diplomatic missions are unacceptable. I express my condolences to the family of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. convalescence."

The US Embassy wrote on its Facebook page: "We express our condolences to the family of Orkhan Askerov, who died during the incident, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."

French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Bouillon also condemned the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran. “We are deeply saddened by the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran. On behalf of the French Embassy, I express my deepest condolences to my colleagues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the family of Orkhan Askerov,” she wrote on Twitter.
