Hungary and Azerbaijan Hold Business Forum to Enhance Economic Cooperation

Representatives of 26 Azerbaijani and 61 Hungarian companies gathered in Budapest for the Hungarian-Azerbaijani business forum. The event was part of the 9th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Hungary Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation. The co-chairs of the commission, including Azerbaijani Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev, and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, addressed the forum.

During the forum, the speakers highlighted the ongoing efforts of both countries to expand their bilateral cooperation agenda, including the promotion of business ties between the two nations. The speakers also praised Hungary's interest in contributing to the large-scale reconstruction works being carried out in the newly liberated Azerbaijani territories.

The restoration of Karabakh was identified as a priority issue for the friendly participation of other countries. Meetings between the businessmen from both countries were held, and future cooperation was discussed.

The business forum provided a valuable opportunity for representatives from both countries to come together and discuss ways to strengthen their economic ties. The event highlighted the potential for further collaboration between Hungary and Azerbaijan in a range of sectors, including trade, investment, and infrastructure.
