Finland tops UN's World Happiness Report for sixth consecutive year

According to the 2023 World Happiness Report by the United Nations, Finland has been ranked as the happiest country on Earth for the sixth year in a row. The report is based on Gallup polling data covering six categories: Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, the generosity of the population, and the perceived level of corruption in government. The report found that citizens in Northern Europe are the happiest in the world, with Denmark and Iceland filling out the top three spots. The United States also saw a rise in its ranking, moving from 19 to 15. Afghanistan ranked last for the third consecutive year.
