European Union extends Russia sanctions until 2024

The European Union (EU) has extended sanctions against Russia until February 24, 2024, according to the "Official Journal of the European Union". The sanctions currently target 1,386 individuals and 171 companies in Russia and were imposed in 2014 in response to the annexation of Crimea and the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The decision will come into effect one day after its publication in the "Official Journal of the European Union".
