EU Approves 10th Round of Sanctions Against Russia over War in Ukraine
25 February 2023
The European Union has approved its 10th package of sanctions against Russia over its involvement in the war in Ukraine. The latest measures target individuals and entities supporting the war, spreading propaganda, delivering drones used by Russia in the conflict, and also include tighter export restrictions on dual-use goods and technology, as well as measures against "Russian misinformation." The Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU stated that the EU Member States have imposed the most forceful and far-reaching sanctions ever to help Ukraine win the war. On the same day, the United States and Canada also imposed additional sanctions against Moscow on the anniversary of the start of its operation in Ukraine.
