"Relevant structures of Azerbaijan are interested in the Akinci UAV. We, Baykar Company, want to start working on the development of this technology in Azerbaijan. We will take the initiative of both its development and production in Azerbaijan," Bayraktar said at the time.
Mainly Azerbaijani specialists with experience and knowledge in this field are involved in the work of the subsidiary company in Baku.
It should be noted that Baykar's development – Bayraktar TB2 drones were actively used by Azerbaijan during the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh. Turkey supplied Azerbaijan with such devices before the war. Several contracts were signed after the end of hostilities.
