Azerbaijan's President meets with Turkish President Erdogan in Ankara

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, held a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Palace in Ankara on Tuesday.

As President Aliyev arrived, a guard of honor was lined up to welcome him. The two leaders posed together for photographs before engaging in talks on a range of issues.

President Erdogan expressed gratitude for President Aliyev's initiative to hold the Extraordinary Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkey. The summit is dedicated to mitigating the impact of the earthquake that occurred in Turkey.

President Aliyev expressed his condolences to Turkey and praised the country's efforts in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. The two leaders discussed the expansion of cooperation in various fields including politics, economy, trade, energy, defense and defense industry, as well as regional issues.

Additionally, they exchanged views on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the ongoing negotiations process for a peace treaty.

Azerbaijan and Turkey have maintained strong ties based on the "one nation, two states" principle, with the leaders praising the successful development of brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries in all areas.
