Members of states to Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) are actively learning the issue of obtaining observer status of Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Secretary General of the organization, Zhang Ming, in his interview with TASS, APA reports.

“When it comes to the issue of obtaining observer status of Azerbaijan and Armenia, member states to SCO are actively learning it. In this regard, I am personally optimistic, although, I can not say exact time currently,” Secretary General added.

 

According to him, the relations between the two countries are of course the main factor that should be considered: “At the same time, the SCO member states are unanimous in not introducing bilateral contradictions into the organization.”
