Azerbaijani Foreign Minister to visit Israel for opening of embassy in Tel Aviv.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov is scheduled to make an official visit to Israel in the last days of March, according to Israeli media reports. The visit is said to coincide with the opening of Azerbaijan's first embassy in Tel Aviv.

Azerbaijani Ambassador Mukhtar Mammadov recently presented his credentials to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the day before the visit was announced. This follows a December 2022 visit to Israel by Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, who was tasked with selecting the embassy building.

The decision to establish the Azerbaijani Embassy in Israel was made in the fall of 2022, and the ambassador was appointed in November. The opening of the embassy marks a significant milestone in the diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Israel.
