Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Meets with Palestinian Counterpart in Ramallah

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, held talks with his Palestinian counterpart, Riyad Al-Maliki, in Ramallah on March 30. During the meeting, Al-Maliki stated that Azerbaijan and Palestine are friendly countries, and both sides discussed ways to further strengthen their bilateral relations.

Al-Maliki expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for organizing an educational program for Palestinian schoolchildren and building a school in Palestine. Additionally, he announced that Azerbaijan's representative office in Palestine will soon be inaugurated.

Bayramov, on the other hand, affirmed Azerbaijan's support for a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, stating that his country supports the creation of two states in the region with East Jerusalem as the capital.

The talks between the two foreign ministers underline the commitment of both countries to enhance their relationship and promote peace in the Middle East.
