Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports 23 ceasefire violations by Armenian side

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has announced that the Armenian side fired at their armed forces' positions 23 times from 21:30 on March 8 to 04:15 on March 9. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan confirmed the attack on Thursday morning.

The villages of Istisu, Zaylik, Mollabayramly, Yellidja, and Yukhary Ayrim of Kelbajar region, Astaf-Dashkesan region, Zamanly, and Geyamli-Gedabey region were targeted by the Armenian side. Additionally, in the Karabakh region, the Azerbaijani armed forces were fired at in the Khojavend, Lachin, Khojaly regions, and towards the city of Shusha.

The Azerbaijani armed forces responded with retaliation in all cases, accusing the Armenian military-political leadership of provoking them to return fire.

The press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry released a statement saying, "By systematically shelling our positions, the Armenian armed forces provoke us to return fire. Thus, they are trying to form the wrong opinion among representatives of the EU civil mission operating on the conditional border. We declare once again that the entire responsibility for these provocations of the Armenian side lies with the military-political leadership of the official Irevan."
