Azerbaijan's security forces have intercepted an attempted provocation by Armenia in the Karabakh region, according to a statement from Caliber, Azerbaijan's security service.

For some time, Azerbaijani authorities had been receiving signals about the transport of weapons, ammunition, and manpower from Armenia to the Karabakh region via a dirt road called 'Khalafali yolu,' an alternative to the main Lachin road. Today, Azerbaijani operatives attempted to stop an Armenian car on the road to investigate further, but the car's passengers opened fire. In response, Azerbaijani forces neutralized the attackers.
