Azerbaijan intends to sign peace agreement with Armenia: President

“New geo-political reality established in the South Caucasus paved a useful way for lasting peace and regional economic cooperation,” the letter of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressed to French President Emanuelle Macron reads, APA reports.
“Azerbaijan, putting an end to 30 years of occupation of its lands, intends to turn the page of war, normalize relations with Armenia, and sign a peace agreement. We believe that France can make a valuable contribution to the process of preparing a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the five principles presented by us based on international law,” the letter reads.
