Azerbaijan and Lithuania sign memorandum of understanding and cooperation on prosecution

The Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, met with his Lithuanian counterpart, Nida Grunskene, to discuss cooperation within the International Association of Prosecutors "Eurocast" and other structures. As a result of the meeting, the Prosecutor General's Offices of the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation, according to a statement released by the Prosecutor General's Office on February 21.

The delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan was invited to Vilnius by Nida Grunskene and the head of the Special Investigative Service, Edrunas Bartkus. During the meeting at the Special Investigative Service, Aliyev announced the completion of the EU project: "Support for reforms in the system of return and management of property in Azerbaijan".

Aliyev also discussed legislative and institutional reforms in Azerbaijan, emphasizing the need for international cooperation in identifying, arresting, and confiscating property obtained through criminal means. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Lithuania, Tamerlan Garayev, was present during the meetings.ww
