VTB in Azerbaijan connects to Russia’s financial transfer system

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Russia’s VTB in Azerbaijan will continue to carry out all financial transactions with correspondents in the RF through the Russian equivalent of the SWIFT financial transfer system of the Central Bank of Russia – SPFS, Trend reports citing the bank.
VTB (Azerbaijan) customers are reportedly able to make the usual operations with Russia to transfer and receive funds in the Russian ruble, convert received ruble into Azerbaijani manat, and also conduct operations in manat in Russia.
"VTB (Azerbaijan) is a legal entity established on the territory and subjects to the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The bank has sufficient liquidity and capital and continues to operate normally, providing customers with the necessary financial services," the bank said in a statement.
