Violent clashes erupt as Israel Police disperse Tel Aviv protest on Ayalon Highway

Early on Monday morning, the Israel Police began to disperse a protest that had blocked traffic on Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv for over five hours. The police were met with violent resistance from protesters, resulting in clashes between the two groups.

Massive police forces, including two water cannons and mounted horse units, were deployed to the scene to remove the protesters. According to Israel Police, three police officers were injured during the operation, as protesters hit them with flags and threw stones, bottles, and other objects.

The use of riot dispersal measures was necessary to ensure public safety and restore order on the highway. The police have not released information about any injuries sustained by the protesters during the clashes.
