04 June 2022
Russia's RIA Novosti agency has been blocked in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing Caliber.az.
RIA Novosti published an extensive interview of Artak Beglaryan, the "minister of state" of the Armenian separatists, who introduced himself as the so-called minister of the illegal organization in the territories of Azerbaijan, and it caused a wide resonance among the Azerbaijani public.
This provocative interview was assessed in Baku as a gross violation of the provisions of the Declaration on Allied Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.
The Russian state news agency's dissemination of slanderous and separatist information, which contradicts the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, does not correspond to the spirit of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. This step of the State Agency is contrary to the provisions of the 1997 Agreement on Friendship, Security and Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation and the 2022 Declaration on Allied Interaction 'to refrain from any action aimed at the partial or total disruption of the national unity and territorial integrity of any other State or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations' and countering separatism.
