The Congress of the European Badminton Confederation is currently being held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku. During the opening ceremony, guests were welcomed by Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade, and the President of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation, Dr. Taleh Ziyadov, who wished success to all congress participants.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was a video presentation showcasing the history and achievements of Azerbaijani badminton. The Congress agenda includes a number of issues such as the annual meeting of European badminton delegations, discussing the issues on the agenda of badminton competitions, and the presidential elections for the Badminton Europe Confederation. The Congress is also celebrating the accessibility of badminton for all, with the motto of "Inclusive Badminton".

The forum of member federations of the Badminton Europe Confederation will also take place within the framework of the Congress. The discussions will also focus on the preparation period for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
