Azerbaijani film director Rustam Ibrahimbayov dies

Azerbaijani film director Rustam Ibrahimbayov has died, film director Tahir Tahirovich told APA.
He has died last night in Moscow.
Rustam Ibragimbekov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR on 5 February 1939 to Mammad Ibrahimbeyov and Fatima Meshadibeyova. Rustam Ibragimbekov graduated from Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute, then studied script writing and film directing at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. His writing credits include more than 40 film and television scripts, numerous plays and pieces of prose, and nearly all of his scripts were eventually made into full feature or TV films, including White Sun of the Desert (1970, Interrogation , Guard Me, My Talisman , Urga, Burnt by the Sun, The Barber of Siberia, East/West (1999), Broken Bridges (2004) and Nomad (2005/2007).
