The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with the Minister of Defense of Georgia, Mr. Juansher Burchuladze, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan. The visit included a tribute to the Alley of Shehids, where the Georgian delegation paid their respects to the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's independence and territorial integrity.

An official welcoming ceremony followed, during which both ministers signed the "Book of Honor" in accordance with protocol. General Colonel Hasanov expressed satisfaction with the visit and noted the importance of meetings between the heads of states in developing relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The two ministers discussed a range of issues, including peace and security in the region, the expansion of military cooperation, and joint exercises and working meetings. They also exchanged views on prospects for trilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a Defense Cooperation Agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan and Georgia in an expanded format. The visit highlighted the traditional friendship and mutual trust between the two countries and emphasized the importance of holding such meetings regularly to further develop relations.
