As a result of the shelling of Gazyan village in the Terter region of Azerbaijan by the Armenian armed forces from September 27 to October 10, 100 houses in the village were seriously damaged, 5 of which were reduced to rubbles.
This is not the first time Gazyan village has come under fire from the Armenian forces, as it is located close to the front line of the Armenian forces. The same happened in April 2016.
One of the 5 houses that were bombed and destroyed belongs to Niyamaddin Zeynalov. Niyamaddin had just finished building his home. That house was shelled on October 7. His whole family was evacuated a few hours prior to the incident, thus there were no casualties. Niyamaddin suffered damage not only to his house, but also to his yard and livestock.
"I moved the children somewhere safe. We are in war, I care not for my physical possessions, but only for my children and I miss them so. They are quite skilled with their, used to make toys and made quite a lot of them. Now, those too are gone. My only consolation is that my children are safe and sound.
Rural Representative Azer Jabbarov’s house was also destroyed. He only recently finished renovating his house. On the first day of the shootings, he only managed to evacuate his family. He himself stayed behind to carry out his duties. “The whole village, even better, can be rebuilt,” Azer Jabbarov said. "Victory of our army is of utmost importance."
